AI Copilot for DMCs - New features added to our Itinerary Quoting Platform

Request a Demo

The AI Copilot for DMCs has just gotten smarter and easier to use. TourConnect AI has recently added new features to support DMCs that want to customise at scale by accessing the digital workforce.  Whether you're using Tourplan and manually creating FIT itineraries or using an in-house booking system with no integrations, these new features can help you make a step change towards an automated reservation system.

In the past months we've spoken with dozens of Inbound Tour Operators and DMCs online and at events like #ITB Berlin and #ATM Dubai. When we asked them about what slows them down the most, two themes kept coming up: “Not every quote request is the same,” and “We need AI to work the way our team works.”

So we're excited to introduce new features in line with these themes.

🧭 Introducing 'Product Strategies': Enhanced Itineraries for Each Travel Agent

Our AI can now be more tailored to your DMC's requirements, thanks to the Product Strategies feature. This new customisation feature allows companies to finetune how the AI creates draft itineraries.

All DMCs share a common process flow, but that's where the similarities end.  For example, itineraries created for South East Asia or Africa are typically less detailed than those for Europe or Australasia.  The same can be said of Travel Agent requests.

Now, DMCs can easily adjust the AI to better suit the type of quote requests they receive. We call these AI settings Prompt Strategies.  There are 3 to choose from: one suited to more brief itineraries; another suited to very complex itineraries; and a third in the middle.

These Strategies can be set differently for each Travel Agent within your account. This is especially helpful for DMCs that work with many different partners that have different degrees of complexity in their itineraries. They can simply let their AI know which Travel Agents are more complex, normal or basic and update as and when needed from the settings menu.

Using these settings allows the AI Copilot to produce even more relevant itineraries. Processing times for shorter itineraries will also be faster than before.

✏️  UI Updates: A Smoother Add-In Experience

The add-in is where the magic happens — and we’ve just made that experience better for DMC reservation teams. Now live across our Outlook and Gmail add-in:

Cleaner interface: We’ve simplified editing tools to remove clutter and make room for speed.

Reorder service lines on the fly: Move service lines up and down directly within the itinerary before syncing to Tourplan or your booking system.

Add services by day: A new icon makes it easy to assign services directly to specific dates — no more dropdowns or back-and-forth clicks.

Our AI Copilot for DMCs contains two parts: the primary interface accessed from your email inbox as an Outlook or Gmail add-in; and the web-app where settings and AI rules are managed.

If your team spends time tweaking service order or manually updating days, this update will feel like a productivity unlock.

Updated user interface allows easier refinement of itineraries created by AI.

Why This Matters

We’re building the most advanced AI Copilot for DMCs and Tour Operators alike — not just in terms of travel tech, but in real-world usability.

These updates reflect the kind of feedback that only comes from teams using Itinerary Assist AI daily, under the pressure of real quote volumes and high partner expectations. That’s who we’re building for and there's more to come.

If you’re already using Itinerary Assist AI, these updates are now live and included at no extra cost — you can refer to customer communications sent earlier this month or contact Support for help. If you haven’t yet explored what the AI Copilot for DMCs could do for your team, we’d love to show you.
